Julian Caballero
My name is Julian Caballero and I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. At a young age, I became interested in technology and was curious as to how it worked. I spent a lot of time in the computer lab at my elementary school. As I grew older, my interest in music grew as well, since I played the clarinet in my middle school band.
After high school, I pursued a career in the music industry and took a course at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences (CRAS), where I studied audio engineering. Once I had completed the in-class portion of the course, I went on to do an internship in Los Angeles at a recording studio called Serenity West.
Unfortunately, after moving back to Phoenix, I realized that there weren’t many opportunities to be an audio engineer and decided on a career change. I thought back to my experience as a child and at CRAS and remembered how curious I had been about computers and technology, and how they worked. As I researched the IT industry, I discovered that Codefy was launching a pilot program, in which I am currently a Software Development student. In addition, I am also taking an Introduction to Cyber Security course through the Cisco Networking Academy, as Cyber Security is a field I am interested in exploring further as well.
