Neriah Luna
Hello, my name is Neriah Luna. I am Diné (Navajo) from Northern Arizona. I graduated from Flagstaff High School in 2015 and completed my Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Pre-Health at Coconino Community College in 2017. Since 2016, I’ve been working as a Direct Support Professional, which entails working with individuals, who have developmental and/or physical disabilities. I assist these individuals with establishing independent living skills. Through this, I learned that I enjoy assisting others and encouraging them to fulfill their utmost potential. Upon completion of my AAS in 2017, I pursued a degree in Nursing, but discovered it wasn’t my passion halfway through nursing school. During this time, I explored my strengths, which were in math and analytics. I explored career options and ultimately came down to the conclusion that I would pursue a career in Computer Science. I took advantage of online coding camps and spent countless hours working through puzzles and applying my critical thinking skills. What I love the most about Computers and Technology is that it feels like a hobby rather than work. I look forward to spending countless hours exploring the advancement of technology through detail, analytics, teamwork, problem solving, and decision making.
