My name is Trent Lomatewama and I’m from the village of Moenkopi located on the
Hopi reservation in Arizona. I am 19 years old, and I grew up and went to school on the
reservation all my life. I recently graduated high school and now I am pursuing a career
in computer science. In high school, my favorite subjects were reading, writing, and
science.

I am pursuing a career in the tech industry because it is something I am interested in,
and also because technology is the future. My goals are to learn a lot about computer
software and hardware so that I can fix everyday problems with technology. During
school I've never learned about computers, a lot is new to me, so it is exciting to learn
more.
