Truman Stephenson

My name is Truman Stephenson. I am Tlingit from Southeast Alaska, born and raised in the lower 48. While originally studying natural resource management, my fascination with computers and their sciences led me to embrace online learning. In 2021, I embarked on my programming journey, and I've taken various self-taught courses to deepen my understanding of programming languages, particularly focusing on front-end development for websites and game development. This endeavor has acquainted me with HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, C#, and associated frameworks. I continue to refine my skills in these areas, I possess a solid foundation to apply them effectively in upcoming projects. Throughout my professional career in corporate America, concurrent with my college studies, I've cultivated valuable skills. I intend to leverage these skills to support local tribes and beyond, contributing to initiatives that foster economic growth towards a greener world. My aim is to create a sustainable platform for indigenous youth and my peers, promoting environmental consciousness and sustainable practices.
